This handy little tool serves as an "early warning system" for pending hard-drive problems, and alerts you BEFORE they happen—giving you a chance to back-up your data and have your hard drive checked/replaced before a total crash. The program displays a green icon if everything is OK, or a red icon if you should start worrying. Get it here.

I'm constantly amazed at the success of the social-networking site, MySpace (if you haven't heard of it, here's some background). I tried it out, and found it to be a collection of fluffy mish-mash—predominantly teenagers and people that don't have a clue about websites. But it's popularity (more hits than Google) cannot be denied, and businesses are starting to jump on the bandwagon as a means of reaching new customers. In fact, I saw a car commercial the other day that gave a plug for their MySpace site - incredible!
