Testimonial

When I started developing the idea for ChronicBabe.com, I knew that for it to be a success, the web design would need to be just right. The site needed to be inviting to a younger, female audience—one that's web-savvy and time-conscious. Matt quickly understood what I was looking for, and in no time he had developed a plan. Within a few weeks the site was live!

Today, ChronicBabe.com is not simply an idea—it's a gorgeous online resource. The design is fresh, unique, and easy to navigate. It's just what I had in mind. And Matt was so great to work with: he didn't just give me my wish list, he also had tons of creative ideas that we integrated into the project. Matt was excited to experiment with technologies to find the right solutions for me. Most importantly, he worked hard to understand my audience and anticipate their needs, and I couldn't be more thrilled with the result.

Overview

From the site:
If you're living with a chronic illness and trying to balance healthy living and—whoa—fun, then you're DEFINITELY in the right place. If you're sick of reading depressing, clinical dissertations on disease, then you're going to feel right at home. If you're hunting for creative approaches to life, come on in. This online community is for babes (who just happen to be chronic).

This site is about empowering young women living with chronic illness. The design had to be cheery, positive, and feminine. And based on the feedback founder Jenni Prokopy is getting, the site is an incredible success. Before the project was even officially launched, it was receiving over 1,000 page-views a day.

By using a publishing platform (a.k.a content management system), Jenni can create, edit, and delete her own articles—even cut and paste directly from MS Word. She can also manage her own bookstore, which is tied in with Amazon.com, and receive a portion of the profits from the sales she directs to them.

This site was also featured in Crain's Chicago Business, read the article (login info).
